Groove: "a pronounced, enjoyable rhythm" ~ Merriam Webster Dictionary
According to Donald Fagen from Steely Dan, “if you get a groove going, time flies.”
If you’re the boys in Victoria’s grooviest band, Groove Kitchen... well, that’s got to be true for them too. This six-piece band includes some familiar faces, including Adrian Chamberlain (keyboards), Pedro Arbour (drums) and Steve Moyer (bass). Led by Dave Anderson (guitar/vox), Groove Kitchen also features the horn section of Sean Burnett (trombone) and Rainer Willeke (saxophones).

"Thank you so much for Saturday I have only heard great feedback about Groove Kitchen. You certainly lived up to the promise and got everyone up and dancing. Please pass on my thanks to the entire band. " Ian Piears, facility and events co-ordinator, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria
"Thank you Groove Kitchen for including me in the GREAT Sold Out Fund Raising Event for the Kidney Foundation. The band was HOT! Hermann's had to clear the tables to make a dance floor because the 'Joint was jumping'. Let's do this again soon!"

"Groove Kitchen sounded really great on Fri. night! Your new line up is much tighter with just two horns, and of course they've worked together for quite a while (the old Soul Station). Steve and Pedro were laying down some very heavy funky grooves. Your keyboard and organ solos and general chording were coming through loud and clear. The vocals were excellent as well. The guitar player was good too. The thing I liked about him is that he chorded just plain heavy chords along with you and didn't noodle too much...Sean's trombone solos were bold and clear...your version of 'I Wish' rocked!"
- B. Pendray
"The band is undeniably danceable, and there’s really not too many other acts doing the same mix of funk, Latin and soul. This is one where you want to arrange for a ride home before going out, kids! Trust me!"

"Hey guys!! Nice to see a web site up for you. Great show at Jazz Fest 2011, you should have done more time slots, we were looking for more. Nice to hear a tight horn section that does lead vocals! It's about time Victoria got a funk band that delivers!!!"
